Ziņa
The patrons of University of Latvia (UL) Foundation have been supporting all kinds of research and infrastructure projects, but also students by providing scholarships for years now. UL Foundation has made a summary to look back at finished projects – 25 of them in total!
The goal of UL Foundation is to manage different kinds of patron donations to help accelerate the development of research, gathering new results in science fields, opening new doors to curious researchers, as well as help develop and improve ongoing projects and/or objects, e.g UL Botanical garden and the Stellar globe.
The diversity of these projects is truly vast. UL Foundation has repeatedly administered donations which are put towards not only the UL Botanical garden, but also student trips, and a research trip to Antarctica. We are also proud of the creation and purchase of new equipment, machines and books that help us work on even more research. The main goal of these projects is to discover or create something new that demonstrates a novelty which leaves a positive message, e.g new equipment which helps reduce patient mortality rate; an application that helps diabetic patients be more active; natural earth resources that can be turned into usable artists’ colors and many more projects like these. You can take a look at finished projects here.
